Title: Technical Software Architect

Location: Remote

Job Description:

Sapiens is seeking a skilled Technical Software Architect to join our team and play a key role in designing and delivering robust technical solutions.

Position Summary

Reporting to the Chief Architect of the CoreSuite for WC development group, the Technical Software Architect provides expertise to support technology and architecture governance in software development at Sapiens. The role involves leading design efforts for product enhancements, resolving complex architectural issues related to insurance solutions, and establishing best practices across distributed teams. Extensive knowledge of Java EE, UML, design patterns, data modeling, and experience with both commercial and open-source components are required.

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Collaborate with IT teams to design, develop, and implement insurance applications
• Oversee all software-related issues
• Design architectural solutions for software problems
• Identify and apply development patterns and approaches
• Review and compare architectures and designs
• Assess feasibility of software solutions
• Research and prototype new tools and technologies
• Recommend technologies for product roadmap
• Design and develop reusable software components
• Present technical material to clients
• Mentor junior developers
• Make architectural recommendations to management
• Complete activities as directed by the Chief Architect

• Resource and property management (N/A)
• Fiscal management (advisory only)

Job Requirements, Skills, Abilities, Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent
• 4+ years in architecture and development, with strong Java experience
• Proficiency in OO analysis and design, Java technologies, and enterprise application development
• Experience with frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, and tools like Maven, Eclipse
• Knowledge of SOA, Web Services, SQL, and design patterns
• Strong communication, presentation, and mentoring skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Insurance domain experience (4+ years)
• 8+ years in architecture, development, and OO design
• Experience with cloud technologies like Docker and Kubernetes
