We are seeking a Software Architect to collaborate directly with internal teammates in designing and developing software products. You will primarily focus on understanding complex technical and business requirements and translating them into highly scalable, robust product architectures. Additionally, you will serve as the technical lead and mentor for your team while maintaining a hands-on role. See key responsibilities and skills below.

What You'll Do

Technical Leadership & Team Management

• Lead development teams in building products.
• Supervise and oversee the technical aspects of product development and quality.
• Mentor peers and developers on the team at all levels of seniority.
• Actively participate in discussions with company leadership, partners, and customers.
• Assist in producing technical product and/or project documentation.
• Assist as needed with opportunities and Sales activities, providing estimations and technical guidance.

Architecture & Design

• Define technical requirements for product architecture.
• Translate business requirements into product designs.
• Utilize cloud architecture knowledge, VM and container expertise, and deployment strategies to design solutions.

Software Development & Engineering

• Support all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure high-quality product delivery.
• Develop and implement APIs and Web Services (REST, SOAP) while designing API-based solutions.
• Program in InterSystems ObjectScript, Java, or other object-oriented programming languages.

DevOps, CI/CD & Modern Technologies

• Utilize CI/CD technologies and processes, including Git, Jenkins, and Docker.
• Experiment with and validate approaches using new technologies.

Agile & Adaptive Workstyle

• Work with different levels of requirement definition and respond swiftly to stakeholder feedback.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or equivalent work experience in Software Development.
• 8+ years of Software Development experience.
• Experience in system monitoring is a plus.
• Prometheus experience is a plus.
• Experience with MongoDB is a plus.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

Home Office Requirements

• Minimum internet speed of 25 Mbps download and 1.5 Mbps upload.
• Private Wi-Fi network with a strong, unique password.
• Monthly stipend for internet expenses; submit speed test results during onboarding; ensure network password is not default.
