Job summary

Arcwood Environmental is seeking a Manager, Technical Services in Charlotte, NC to lead a team responsible for the handling, storage, transportation and disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste. You will supervise and train Technical Services staff to ensure jobs meet safety and environmental standards.

Responsibilities include coordinating field projects, providing regulatory guidance, creating proposals, managing billing and costs, and supporting Sales with technical input.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in hazardous waste management or environmental services.

Responsibilities

• Prioritizes health and safety by adhering to policies, processes, and maintaining safe practices at all times
• Ensures compliance with safety policies; conducts safety meetings and provides safety plans for job sites
• Manages field projects, keeps customers informed of progress and addresses technical questions
• Provides regulatory information to customers and project managers, maintains records for regulatory agencies
• Compiles relevant technical aspects of projects into reporting and creates proposals
• Responds to customer inquiries about waste approval, disposal and pricing; handles new inquiries
• Provides technical assistance to Sales and attends sales calls as necessary
• Prepares and approves billing, tracks internal and external costs
• Supervises Technical Services employees and participates in hiring and evaluations
• Takes on additional duties to support the team and organization
