Matheson Tri-Gas is seeking a Technical Services Manager to lead a small team responsible for entering part numbers and product specs into our quality system for gases and chemicals. The role supports Sales, Customer Service and Product Management to capture custom requirements accurately.

The team collaborates with IT to improve systems and ensure seamless transfer of quality data to customer systems, primarily in electronics, with a focus on accuracy and reliability.

Job description

JOB SUMMARY

The Technical Services Manager manages a small team of individuals who are primarily responsible for entering part numbers and product specifications into our quality system for gases and chemicals. The team provides close support to Sales, Customer Service, and Product Management to ensure all custom requirements are captured accurately in our systems. The team also supports Operations when they are entering manufacturing data being qualified and assists in the generation and distribution of product certifications going to customers. The team is heavily involved in the direct transfer of quality data into systems belonging to multiple customers. These are typically customers in the electronics industry that have very challenging requirements with zero tolerance for failure and the list is growing rapidly. The team works closely with IT to develop improvements to the systems to accommodate new requirements from customers or to assist internal users in meeting the requirements. The Director is tasked with leading a project to transition from Matheson legacy systems to a new work environment. The Director ensures the team members are cross-trained and that Technical Services are always available to support their customers.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $110,00

EDUCATION

WORK EXPERIENCE

• 1-3 years Reliability Engineering related work Project Management related work
• 3-5 years
• 4-6 years
• 7-9 years Experience in the compressed gas industry Preferred

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Intimate knowledge of Matheson Electronic and Specialty Gas computer systems is highly preferred
• Detailed knowledge of electronic and specialty gas products is highly preferred
• General knowledge of electronic customers and their system related needs is highly preferred
• Ability to learn and adapt to new systems and processes is required
• Ability to train and support Technical Service team members is required
• Ability to troubleshoot and find solutions to problems from both internal and external sources is required.
