Airswift is working in partnership with a global leader in chemical innovation that’s developed a fully bio-based biopolymer to replace single-use plastics, which is now looking for a Technical Services Manager to be based out of Houston, Texas.
The ideal candidate who will play a key role in supporting customers and internal teams by providing expert technical assistance and ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction in North America.
Primary Goals:
- Learn about the company's product offering and processes thoroughly.
- Understand customer needs, develop formulations that meet customer requirements and communicate updates effectively.
- Independently visiting customers as the technical specialist, looping in and coordinating with sales teams as necessary.
Primary Job Duties:
- Provide technical support to customers and internal teams regarding biopolymer products and applications
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner
- Develop and deliver technical training to customers and internal teams
- Create and maintain technical documentation to support product knowledge and application
- Collaborate with the sales team and Technology Laboratory to identify customer needs and provide technical solutions that meet those needs
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements in biopolymer technology
- Perform 1 on 1 meetings as per KAH policy.
- Support other companies businesses as requested by management.
- Participate in Company-related initiatives (i.e. Best Practices) as directed by management.
- Participate in regularly scheduled training (i.e. Safety, IT) as requested by management.
- Participate in local functions as needed.
- Actively engage with digital platforms (i.e. SAP) to efficiently perform duties related to the Biopolymers business.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
- At least 2 years’ working experience in plastics processing
- Holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering
Desirable Skills and Experience:
- 10 years’ experience with biopolymers
- Experienced working with application such as straws, films or wrapping
- Understanding of US regulations (FDA, EPA, MPRSA, FTC)
- Car Allowance per month, plus business mileage and parking reimbursement
- Variable and discretionary annual bonus
- 401K, company contributes 150% up to 4%
- PTO depending on service (80 hours up to 200 hours), plus 10 paid holidays and 1 personal day
