Job summary

PTC is seeking a Principal level Onshape Specialist to join the Strategic Technical Services team in Boston. You will demonstrate our cloud-native CAD/PDM platform to prospects, guide customers through onboarding, and work with the success team to expand relationships.

The role requires deep CAD/PLM knowledge and strong communication skills. Based at our Boston Seaport HQ, you’ll collaborate with a fast-paced in-office team and help translate customer feedback into product improvements while

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical CAD software (Onshape, SOLIDWORKS, Autodesk Inventor, Creo, Siemens NX).
• Experience in delivering product demonstrations.
• Experience in troubleshooting complex customer requirements and engineering processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or a technical equivalent.

The ideal candidate is articulate and experienced in both pre and post sales situations, working closely with prospects/customers throughout the relationship. From delivering engaging product demonstrations to understanding engineering systems and process aiding in customer onboarding and adoption. You will collaborate with a fast-paced, in-office team at the PTC HQ in Boston's Seaport District, supporting our sales efforts by showcasing our product to potential new customers and working with the customer success team to help build/maintain/expand customer relationships. This role demands a strong understanding of engineering applications (CAD, PDM, PLM, CAM, FEA, etc.) and the ability to effectively communicate our product's unique features. You will play a crucial role in introducing a next-generation product design platform to a broader audience. Experience in the CAD/PDM space, with a reseller or direct with a vendor, is a plus. The anticipate d annual salary range for this position is between $130,000 - $155,000 . The salary range reflects a good-faith estimate of compensation at the time of posting. A ctual compensation may vary based on a candidate's skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Additionally, candidates may be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
