Job summary

CPS Inc. is seeking a Technical Service Leader to guide extrusion and thermoforming developments in plastic packaging markets. You will drive technology adoption, support commercialization, and work closely with Sales, Marketing, R&D, and Manufacturing to deliver world-class technical service.

The role emphasizes deep polymer science knowledge, collaboration across teams, and customer-facing activities including trials and launches. Competitive compensation and relocation assistance are offered.

Qualifications

PhD or Master’s degree in Materials Science or Engineering or related field.
10+ years of industry experience (BS with 20+ years also considered).
Extensive experience with extrusion & thermoforming and product commercialization.
Medical/consumer packaging experience preferred.
Direct customer contact experience with product trials and launches.

Responsibilities

Lead technical leadership for extrusion and thermoforming applications in Specialty Plastics.
Engage with customers to drive solution adoption and commercialization.
Resolve complex technical challenges and perform root cause analysis.
Develop and maintain external networks and deliver training and seminars.
Translate customer requirements into development activities.
