Job summary

PHOTOMATE is seeking a Technical Service Engineer to support the Head of Service in daily operations of our Service Department. This field-focused role involves attending sites and commissioning C&I and Utility-scale PV and BESS systems to ensure safe, efficient delivery and high technical standards.

You will travel to project sites, test and troubleshoot electrical and energy systems, and compile commissioning reports for stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Technical background in electrical engineering, energy, automation, or a related field.
• Knowledge of PV and BESS systems.
• Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site.
• Bulgarian proficiency at C2 level and English at B2 level.

Responsibilities

• Support the Head of Service in daily technical service activities.

About The Role

We are looking for a Technical Service Engineer to support the Head of Service in daily operations of our Service Department.

This is a field-focused position, where your main responsibility will be attending sites and performing commissioning of C&I and Utility-scale PV and BESS systems. You will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards.

Your Responsibilities

• Test, inspect, and troubleshoot electrical and energy systems
• Ensure systems operate according to specifications and safety standards
• Prepare commissioning reports and technical documentation

What are we looking for?

• Technical background in electrical engineering, energy, automation, or similar
• Knowledge of electricity, energy systems, and renewable energy technologies (PV, BESS)
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Good time management and ability to work independently
• Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site
• Driving license (B)
• Bulgarian – C2 level (fluent/native proficiency)
• English – B2 level (professional working proficiency)

Nice To Have

• Experience in commissioning or field service
• Background in renewable energy or energy industry
• Basic knowledge of automation and control systems
