As Technical Service Account Manager in Grain Processing, you will provide specialized technical support for enzyme and yeast applications, support sales teams, and serve as the internal technical expert across product lines. You will conduct plant visits, analyze data, and develop tools to enhance decision-making, while delivering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline.
• 3–4 years of experience in an industrial biotechnology environment (enzymes, food, fuel alcohol, or similar).
• 3–5 years of experience in a Carbohydrate Processing environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with JMP or other statistical software preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret technical data.
• Customer‑focused mindset with strong relationship‑building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized technical and scientific support for enzyme and yeast applications in customer environments.
• Collaborate with sales teams during customer meetings, trainings, and onsite visits.
• Serve as an internal technical expert on assigned product lines, applications, and limitations.
• Conduct routine plant visits to perform process audits, lab analysis, and performance optimization.
• Analyze process and laboratory data to identify improvement opportunities and make recommendations.
• Develop tools or models to enhance data analysis and technical decision‑making.
• Deliver customer training on product selection, application, and optimization.
• Provide post‑sale technical troubleshooting during product testing and implementation.
• Support account planning and identify business development opportunities from a technical and commercial perspective.

Job Requirements

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Engineering, or related)3–4 years of experience in an industrial biotechnology environment (enzymes, food, fuel alcohol, or similar)3-5 years of experience in a Carbohydrate Processing environmentStrong analytical and problem‑solving skills with the ability to interpret technical dataProficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with JMP or other statistical software preferredCustomer‑focused mindset with strong relationship‑building skillsSelf‑motivated and results‑oriented, able to work independentlyStrong organizational skills and ability to prioritize in a dynamic environmentAbility to collaborate effectively across Sales, Marketing, and R&DWillingness to travel 50% or moreHow Would You Stand Out?Hands‑on experience supporting fermentation or enzyme‑driven industrial processesPrior success in a customer‑facing technical or application support roleAbility to translate complex technical insights into clear, actionable customer recommendations
