Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes is seeking a senior Technical SEO professional to own the technical foundation for organic visibility. You will drive site architecture, structured data, and multi-location listings across partners, while also owning on-site content and a chatbot product management relationship.

The role combines hands-on SEO, content ownership, and strategic alignment with marketing and engineering to improve AI Overviews, local health, and user experience across bakery locations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical SEO, ideally including enterprise, multi-location, or franchise-model experience.
• Hands-on expertise with structured data / schema.org implementation and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Core Web Vitals, crawl/indexation management, and site migrations.
• Experience managing local/location-based SEO and business listings at scale (Google Business Profile, listing aggregators).
• 3+ years writing and publishing SEO-optimized web copy — this role writes content directly, with no dedicated copywriter to hand it to.
• Strong editorial judgment: able to write on-brand, guest-facing copy as well as technical specs.
• Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, and a technical crawler (e.g., Screaming Frog).
• Able to work directly with Engineering — comfortable in Jira, reading tickets, and writing clear technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and QA structured data across templates and catch regressions.
• Manage indexation controls: robots.txt and noindex directives at levels.
• Own Core Web Vitals and mobile page-speed improvements with Engineering.
• Run recurring technical audits and convert findings into tickets.
• Lead international SEO setup for new markets (hreflang, sitemap).
• Review engineering tickets touching metadata or crawlability before production.
• Own on-site location metadata and local landing pages.
• Coordinate with Franchise Support for location data accuracy.
