Job summary

Nothing Bundt Cakes is seeking a technically oriented SEO expert to own the site architecture, structured data, and global listings across multiple bakeries. The role also covers on-site content ownership and an AI chatbot product management facet, requiring hands-on writing and publishing of SEO content without a dedicated copywriter.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in technical SEO, ideally with enterprise, multi-location or franchise experience.
• Hands-on expertise with structured data / schema.org implementation and troubleshooting.
• Working knowledge of Core Web Vitals, crawl/indexation management, and site migrations.
• Experience managing local/location-based SEO and business listings at scale (Google Business Profile, listing aggregators).
• 3+ years writing and publishing SEO-optimized web copy with no dedicated copywriter.
• Strong editorial judgment for on-brand, guest-facing copy and technical specs.
• Familiarity with Google Search Console, GA4, and a technical crawler (Screaming Frog).
• Able to work directly with Engineering, comfortable in Jira and writing clear technical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Implement and QA structured data across templates; monitor for regressions.
• Manage indexation controls: robots.txt and noindex directives at multiple levels.
• Own Core Web Vitals and mobile page-speed, coordinating with Engineering for fixes.
• Run recurring technical audits (crawl health, indexation, redirects, canonicalization).
• Lead international SEO setup for new markets (hreflang, sitemap strategy).
• Review engineering tickets for metadata, markup, or crawlability before production.
• Manage on-site location metadata and local landing pages for all bakery locations.
• Own listings/data-aggregator integrations to sync hours, opening dates, and status.
• Monitor listings-change alerts and resolve data discrepancies before they reach guests.
• Coordinate with Franchise Support on location data accuracy during openings/renames.
• Develop and maintain AI/AEO/GEO strategies for AI Overviews and generative search results.
• Oversee chatbot product management: vendor relationship and feature requirements.
• Write and publish SEO-optimized content end-to-end for landing and location pages.
