Job summary

Mackinnon Bruce International is partnering with a global TPU materials manufacturer to recruit an experienced TPU sales professional who will own the US market and drive customer growth. You will establish networks, target opportunities across multiple sectors, provide technical TPU expertise, and travel to customers and industry events.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of successful sales experience within the plastics industry, ideally with a strong background in TPUs.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • An established network of customers and contacts within the plastics, polymer, or thermoplastics industry is a strong advantage.
  • Strong technical understanding of TPU materials, properties, applications, and processing.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Willingness and ability to travel 60%+ across the US.

Responsibilities

  • Establish, develop, and manage a strong customer network across the US to drive sales growth for the TPU business.
  • Identify, target, and qualify new business development opportunities across Industrial, Consumer, Construction, Wire & Cable, and Automotive Tier 1/Tier 2 and aftermarket markets.
  • Generate new business and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Develop trusted, long-term relationships with customers, prospects, and key industry stakeholders.
  • Provide customers with technical and application expertise around TPU materials, formulation capabilities, material properties, and processing parameters.
  • Work closely with internal technical, production, and sales support teams to ensure successful project execution and high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct customer visits, product demonstrations, presentations, and technical discussions.
  • Travel 70%+ throughout the US to visit customers and prospects and attend industry events.
  • Monitor competitor activity, market developments, pricing dynamics, and emerging trends within the TPE industry.
  • Identify opportunities for new applications, products, and market expansion.
  • Support sales forecasting, pipeline management, and broader commercial strategy.

We are currently supporting a global manufacturer and supplier of Thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) compounds, providing high-performance material solutions to customers across a wide range of industries.

As they continue to grow their presence in the US market, we are looking for an experienced TPU Sales professional to take ownership of business development and customer growth across the United States.

This is an ideal opportunity for an established plastics sales professional who wants to take ownership of a growing territory and play a key role in expanding a TPU business.

Key Responsibilities
