Job summary

GACC Midwest - German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, Inc. seeks a Sales Representative for U.S. Operations based in Charlotte, NC. The role leads the U.S. Sales Office, drives business development, and serves as the primary interface between U.S. customers and the German headquarters.

Responsibilities include shaping the U.S. sales strategy, nurturing key accounts, and coordinating with engineering/production teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 3–5 years of experience in technical sales (machinery, mechanical components, industrial equipment preferred).
• Strong technical aptitude with ability to explain complex solutions clearly.
• Demonstrated experience in business development and account growth.
• Entrepreneurial, hands-on mindset.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; ERP/CRM experience preferred.

Position Overview

The Sales Representative will lead and develop the U.S. Sales Office, drive business development, and serve as the primary interface between U.S. customers and the German headquarters. This role combines strategic market development with hands‑on technical sales execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish and manage daily operations of the U.S. Sales Office (supported by an Operations & Office Coordinator)
