Responsibilities

• Assist the sales team with technical knowledge to complete estimates and quotes.
• Value engineering to help Steel Dynamics, Inc. and key customers be competitive on larger projects.
• Point person for technical questions from estimators and coordinators.
• Assist the sales supervisor with implementing processes and procedures for estimating and data entry.
• Troubleshoot scope issues with estimators and review drawings to help find issues at bid time.
• Travel 50% with DSM and marketing to visit customers and engineering firms to support efforts in key markets.
• Communicate with customers, structural engineers and other NM departments to ensure proper practices are followed.
• Attend structural engineering and construction-related conferences for marketing of NM products and services.
