Job summary

InterConnect Wiring is seeking a Senior candidate to support sheet metal fabrication, translate technical drawings for sales and production, and assist the sales team with pricing and capabilities. You will bridge engineering, production, and business development to ensure accurate, competitive quotes and feasible manufacturing plans.

The role emphasizes strong collaboration with cross-functional teams and adherence to quality regulations, including NADCAP processes, to maintain merit status.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in sheet metal fabrication and design.
• 3+ years of technical sales support in a related field.
• Familiar with mills, punches, and press brakes.
• Experience reading and interpreting engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Define product requirements for quotes and production.
• Translate prints and models into sales- and production-friendly formats.
• Provide sales support and engage customers.
• Assist sales team with technical knowledge, pricing, and capabilities.

• Key Technical Expert – Sheet Metal Fabrication
• Understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes (cutting, bending, spot welding) and machinery (CNC, Mill, Router, Punch, Brake, CMM)
• Write outlines defining specific product requirements for sales to quote, and for engineering and manufacturing to execute in production
• Translate technical information from prints and models into a format that is understandable for sales and the production teams

• Customer engagement
• Support the sales team in preparing accurate and competitive quotes
• Accompany business development on visits to customer sites to identify and understand customer needs
• Assist the sales team with technical product knowledge, material selection, pricing and manufacturing capabilities
• Collaboration
• Point of contact for sales and business development on technical questions
• Bridge the gap between sales, engineering, and production teams to ensure accurate technical information is shared
• Coordinate with engineering, sales and business development to thoroughly understand internal capabilities and company goals
• Ability to maintain sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality
