Job summary

EMAG Group in Farmington Hills, MI seeks a Technical Sales Engineer to support the Technical Sales Manager, develop customer-focused manufacturing solutions, and prepare accurate quotations. This role acts as a key technical interface between customers, Sales, Engineering, and Operations, ensuring that customer requirements are translated into feasible, cost-effective solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or related technical field.
Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or machinery/system integration (2–5+ years).
Experience in machining systems, manufacturing processes, or capital equipment is preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills; travel domestically and internationally.

Responsibilities

Analyze customer RFQs, technical specifications, and process requirements to determine suitable manufacturing solutions.
Develop conceptual process flows, system layouts, equipment selections, and preliminary simulations.
Prepare complete technical sales quotations and cost sheets under guidance of the Technical Sales Manager.
Collaborate with Sales, Engineering, and Operations to clarify requirements and support project feasibility discussions.
