Job summary

Equipment & Controls, Inc. in Pennsylvania is seeking a Technical Sales Consultant to partner with account managers, engineering and customers to identify and develop automation opportunities involving PLCs, HMIs, networks and drives.

This pre-sales role translates customer needs into practical, commercially viable solutions and guides opportunities from discovery through proposal and handoff to execution. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in industrial automation, hands-on PLC experience

Qualifications

Five or more years in industrial automation or related field.
Experience with PLC platforms such as DeltaV PLC, PAC systems or other PLCs.
Customer-facing experience leading technical discussions and projects.
Ability to travel regionally to support sales calls and site visits.

Responsibilities

Partner with Account Managers to identify and advance PLC/automation opportunities.
Lead pre-sales meetings, presentations, demonstrations and proposal reviews.
Translate customer requirements into technical concepts and executable solutions.
Collaborate across Inside Sales, Engineering and Project Management to develop BOMs and estimates.
