Job summary

Altec Industries, Inc. in Indianapolis seeks a Technical Sales Associate to drive revenue for named accounts, owning the sales process from quoting to delivery and aftercare.

You will build product knowledge and advocate for customers in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. You will develop knowledge of Altec products and coordinate with engineering and operations to address customer needs, including quotes, pricing, changes, and delivery information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree is required.
• Two years of successful experience in Customer Service, Sales Support, or Technical Support is preferred.
• Willingness to travel overnight up to 10%.
• Must be able to independently analyze problems and develop solutions.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Must be able to independently manage time and tasks.

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers in ways that add value and ensure a positive experience.
• Develop and maintain knowledge of Altec products, customers, and processes.
• Serve customers by providing quotes, pricing, change orders, shipping and delivery information; facilitate quality issues and tours/inspections.
• Work with engineering and operations teams to communicate customer needs and propose solutions.
• Participate in events to continuously improve the organization and team members.
