Job summary

BOE America, the U.S. subsidiary of BOE Technology Group, is seeking a Technical Sales and Applications Engineer to support North America’s LCD and OLED display modules.

You will develop customer relationships, identify opportunities, and coordinate with BOE’s teams in China through development, qualification, and mass production, including sample approval and design-in activities. Domestic and international travel will be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, materials science, business, or a related field.
• Approximately five years of experience in LCD or OLED display modules, electronics, consumer electronics, industrial electronics, medical devices, automotive electronics, or a related industry.
• Experience in technical sales, applications engineering, account management, business development, or customer project support.
• Experience working with OEMs, ODMs, system integrators, or other B2B customers.
• Experience supporting customized products or customer development projects.
• Ability to read and understand basic specifications, drawings, test reports, and technical documents.
• Strong follow-up and project-coordination skills.
• Ability to work effectively with teams in different locations and time zones.
• Experience with cross-border supply chains, international logistics, customs, or import processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Discuss requirements such as size, resolution, brightness, power consumption, interface, mechanical constraints, thermal conditions, and reliability.
• Clarify customer requirements and convert them into clear inputs for internal teams.
• Coordinate with our business units and technical teams in China on product selection, feasibility, pricing, quotations, samples, development schedules, quality issues, production planning, delivery, and logistics.
• Support projects from initial inquiry and RFQ through sample approval, qualification, design-in, and mass production.
• Follow up on samples, test results, customer feedback, open issues, corrective actions, and project milestones.
• Assist with technical responses, failure-analysis information, customer reports, and project reviews.
• Own day-to-day customer communication and project follow-up from the U.S. side.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners when projects involve international transportation, customs, import requirements, tariffs, duties, or delivery issues.
• Communicate customer feedback and new opportunities to the appropriate internal teams.
• Support other related display products and technology initiatives as the business develops.
• Travel domestically and internationally as required.

Position Summary

The Technical Sales and Applications Engineer will support BOE’s LCD and OLED display module business in North America.

The position will work with customers that use LCD and OLED display modules in their own devices, systems, and finished products. The role may also support related LCD display products and systems, including complete products for commercial, industrial, and professional applications.

The position combines customer development, technical communication, applications support, and project coordination. The candidate should be able to discuss basic display requirements with customer engineers and coordinate detailed technical work with the appropriate teams in China.

Technical Background

The candidate should have practical knowledge of LCD and OLED display modules and a basic understanding of common display specifications and engineering tradeoffs.

The candidate should be able to discuss issues such as brightness, power consumption, thermal performance, optical performance, interfaces, mechanical integration, reliability, and cost. Detailed panel or module design experience is not required, but the candidate should be able to ask useful questions, communicate with customer engineers, and involve the appropriate internal specialists.
