Job summary

Brigham and Women's Hospital is recruiting for a full-time Technical Research Assistant - Level I to join the CHCB team. The role involves laboratory work and office duties, including biospecimen handling, data entry into LIMS, and quality control tasks.

Training will be provided as part of joining Mass General Brigham's CHCB program. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in life sciences, strong organizational and communication skills, and comfort with handling human biological materials.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences is required.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills are essential.
• Comfort handling human biological and frozen specimens is strongly preferred.
• Experience with Robotics is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Distribute and produce projects by preparing computer files, printing labels, and creating ship lists.
• Retrieve biospecimens from LN2 freezers and manage storage in LIMS records.
• Enter specimens and questionnaire data into LIMS and perform quality control testing.
• Monitor freezer health and assist with Dewar replacements and storage consolidation.
• Assist in organizing temporary storage, quality controls, drift pools, and related processes.
• Support in case of freezer emergencies and provide occasional after-hours help as needed.
