Wing seeks a Technical Recruiting Lead to guide its Talent Team through rapid growth. This hybrid role is based in Palo Alto, CA.

You will lead Talent Partners and own the talent acquisition strategy for Wing’s Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain functions, advising senior leaders and shaping the talent roadmap with data and market insights. The role requires 12+ years in full cycle recruiting and 3+ years of people management in a fast-paced technical environment.

  • Advise senior engineering leaders on talent decisions, organizational design, and hiring strategies.
  • Own hiring analytics and reporting to inform leadership and talent roadmaps.
  • Drive employer brand initiatives and university programs in support of recruiting.
  • Co-manage a select set of leadership full-cycle requisitions to stay close to market.
  • Design an agile delivery model balancing internal bandwidth with external vendors.

About the Role

Wing is looking for a Technical Recruiting Lead to guide our Talent Team through a pivotal phase of accelerated growth. This is a hybrid role based in Palo Alto, CA. Our People Team is a small, nimble force with outsized impact across the organization. As Wing scales, we serve as a strategic partner for the business, helping build the culture, talent layer, organizational design and dynamic environment where exceptional talent can thrive, innovate, and propel our next chapter of growth.

As a Manager, you will lead a team of Talent Partners (Recruiters) and own the talent acquisition strategy for Wing’s Engineering, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain functions. You will serve as a key strategic talent advisor to Wing’s C‑Suite and management team, providing critical guidance as we scale.

In this role, you will be responsible for hiring and developing a high performing team capable of meeting ambitious hiring goals in a dynamic, fast paced environment. You will translate the long term vision of the business into a comprehensive talent strategy built for scale, using data and market intelligence to influence senior leaders and drive workforce planning. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading technical recruiting teams through hyper-growth, exceptional business acumen, and the ability to build and execute a talent roadmap that thrives in a complex, rapidly evolving organization.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of technical Talent Partners (FTEs and contingent workers), setting clear goals, managing performance, and fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement as the recruiting landscape evolves
  • Develop and own the end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for Wing’s tech organizations, partnering with senior engineering leadership on workforce planning, talent mapping, and defining future hiring needs
  • Drive the adoption of AI-driven talent intelligence, note taking, and interview automation tools to optimize recruiter workflows and improve hiring velocity
  • Serve as a trusted advisor for senior engineering leaders, using data and market insights to influence critical talent decisions, organizational design, and hiring strategies
  • Oversee all hiring analytics and reporting, delivering key insights, progress reports, and forecasts to senior leadership to drive data-informed talent strategies
  • Drive cross-functional, strategic talent initiatives related to our employer brand, hiring process optimizations, and university programs
  • Act as a player-coach by owning a small number of leadership full-cycle requisitions to stay close to the candidate market
  • Design and execute an agile, blended delivery model, strategically balancing internal FTE bandwidth with external vendors, RPOs, or contract recruiters to align with hiring demand
What You’ll Need
  • 12+ years of full cycle recruiting experience, with a minimum of 3+ years of direct people management experience, leading and developing recruiting teams in a high-growth technical environment
  • Experience managing a contingent workforce, while ensuring adherence to legal and compliance requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to implement forward-thinking recruitment tech, specifically leveraging AI to enhance candidate workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing holistic talent strategies for a complex, technical roles that are first of its kind to the organization
  • Proven track record of successfully partnering with and influencing senior leadership (Director level and above) on complex talent topics, including compensation, leveling, and team structure
  • Deep understanding of the engineering and technology landscape, with the ability to provide expert guidance on talent market trends, competitive intelligence and complex offer negotiations
  • A data-driven mindset with experience using analytics to build compelling business cases, measure team performance, and optimize hiring processes
  • Exceptional business acumen and communication skills, with the ability to translate complex business needs into a clear and actionable talent roadmap
  • Strong initiative and a proactive approach to identifying and solving complex organizational challenges

The US base salary range for this full-time position is the salary range below + bonus + equity + benefits. Wing’s salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your location during the hiring process.
Salary Range: $220,000 USD - $230,000 USD
