Summary
Insight Global's client is a supplier of aluminum and other mined natural resource products across the globe. They have several locations across the US and are looking for a Skilled Trade Manufacturing Recruiter to support several of their plants in the Western United States. The Manufacturing Recruiter will manage 12-15 active requisitions at a time, focused primarily on maintenance, skilled trades, and industrial manufacturing positions across their facilities. Approximately 50% of the workload will require proactive sourcing, with a heavy emphasis on leveraging Indeed to identify passive candidates.
Day-to-day responsibilities include sourcing and screening maintenance technicians, electricians, mechanics, PLC technicians, and other skilled trades professionals; conducting phone interviews; coordinating the interview process; and guiding candidates through the full recruiting lifecycle. The recruiter will partner closely with plant hiring managers, drive timely feedback, provide market insights, and ensure positions continue moving through the hiring process. This is a 6-month contract opportunity with potential for extension or conversion. The preferred candidate will be located in Phoenix, AZ (top priority), Portland, OR, or Spanish Fork, UT and be comfortable working 2-3 days per week onsite in a plant environment.
Success in this role requires strong sourcing abilities, familiarity with industrial maintenance terminology (hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical/electrical systems, and PLCs), and the confidence to hold hiring managers accountable while managing a high-volume requisition load. The ideal recruiter will thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, balancing relationship building, stakeholder management, and hands-on recruiting while supporting approximately 1-2 hires per week across critical plant operations roles.
