WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Talent Acquisition Recruiter II, you’ll drive proactive sourcing and candidate assessment by building pipelines of mostly passive talent, consulting with hiring leaders, and keeping searches on time, brand-forward, and compliant. This is a hands-on sourcing role: consistent, daily outreach to passive talent is a core expectation. If you enjoy the hunt: mapping talent markets, finding people who are not actively applying, creating compelling outreach, and turning cold prospects into real relationships, you’ll thrive here.

  • Dedicate focused time every day to identifying and engaging passive candidates, using thoughtful outreach and persistent follow‑up to create qualified pipelines before a requisition becomes urgent.
  • Pre‑screen candidates for assigned roles and present top picks to Hiring Managers and HR Partners with clear notes.
  • Coordinate interviews with Hiring Managers and teams; manage candidate travel and logistics.
  • Maintain accurate candidate communication and stages within the ATS; ensure clean hand‑offs and close the loop with candidates. Build trust with candidates throughout the process so that even prospects who are not ready today remain part of SSR’s long‑term talent network.
  • Track, analyze, and share weekly pipeline and performance data; recommend adjustments based on funnel health.
  • Support corporate recruiting initiatives (college relations, job fairs) and maintain career‑fair spreadsheets/notes.
  • Leverage current sourcing tools and evaluate new tools to expand reach. You’ll have access to SSR’s full LinkedIn enterprise recruiting suite and AI‑enabled sourcing capabilities, and you’ll be expected to use these tools creatively to research markets, uncover talent, personalize outreach, and work more efficiently.
  • Collaborate with team members to balance requisition load and meet SLAs.
  • Act as a trusted recruiting partner by learning each Hiring Manager’s business, role needs, and talent market, then using that knowledge to shape sourcing strategy and communicate clearly about pipeline progress and market realities.
  • Ensure positions are posted in the ATS and on external boards in alignment with guidelines; assist HR with recruiting spreadsheets.
  • Develop relationships with external recruiting partners and ensure adherence to SSR recruiting agreements.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources and three years of applicable experience or a comparable field with six years of applicable experience or master’s degree in human resources or a comparable field with one year of applicable experience.
  • Experience verbally screening/interviewing and "selling" opportunities to passive candidates.
  • Experience in creative sourcing through multiple channels (web, social/professional networks, etc.).
  • Hands‑on experience with Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS).
  • Demonstrated success sourcing passive candidates as a consistent, hands‑on part of your recruiting work, rather than only relying on applicants who come through job postings.
  • A genuine interest in proactive recruiting and the persistence to keep searching, testing new approaches, and following up until the right talent is found.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems, Human Resources Information Management systems, and database administration.
  • Ability to build credible, consultative relationships with both passive candidates and Hiring Managers, including influencing, expectation-setting, and maintaining engagement over time.
  • Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and AI‑assisted sourcing tools to identify, research, and engage talent.
  • Understanding employment policies, procedures, laws, standards, immigration, and government regulations.
  • Comprehension, written communication, speech clarity, and strong interpersonal collaboration.
  • Organizational skills, confidentiality, detail orientation, time management, self‑management, persuasion, judgment/decision‑making, research, and presentation skills.
WHAT WE OFFER
  • 100% Employee-Owned – Ownership from day one with immediate ESOP vesting.
  • Retirement Savings – 401(k) with immediate vesting and a generous company match.
  • Health & Wellness – Medical, dental, and vision coverage, plus company‑funded HSA contributions for HDHP plans.
  • Company‑Paid Protection – Life insurance, AD&D, and short and long term disability at no cost to you.
  • Work‑Life Balance – Flexible schedules, paid parental leave, generous PTO, and paid company holidays.
  • Career Growth – Tuition reimbursement and ongoing professional development support.
