Job summary

AMAX is seeking an HR Generalist to partner with leadership, support workforce planning, and drive end-to-end recruiting across platforms. You will handle sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer negotiations, ensuring a smooth transition from candidate to employee.

The role also involves onboarding, maintaining records, supporting benefits and payroll coordination, and helping implement HR policies while ensuring compliance with applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Experience coordinating with multiple hiring managers to tailor job descriptions and recruitment strategies.
• Understanding of HR policies and federal, state, and local employment laws/regulations.
• Attentive to detail and highly organized; able to handle multiple tasks and priorities.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leadership to assess workforce needs, support organizational planning, and forecast future hiring requirements.
• Develop, update, and post job descriptions across the ATS (Workable), LinkedIn, Indeed, and other platforms.
• Assist with full-cycle recruitment: sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and recommending top talent.
• Coordinate pre-employment processes: reference checks, background screenings, and offer negotiations.
• Prepare and present offers, onboarding documents, and ensure smooth candidate-to-employee transition.
• Be trained on onboarding programs to ensure positive employee experience.
• Maintain and update employee records with accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support employee relations, respond to inquiries, and assist with offboarding as needed.
• Assist in HR policies, procedures, and programs; ensure compliance with employment laws and audits.
• Contribute to performance management, tracking reviews, and documentation.
• Assist with benefits administration and payroll coordination.
• Participate in HR projects to improve processes and employee experience.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and organizational information.

• Work with the Human Resources team to assist with full-cycle recruitment, including sourcing candidates, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and recommending top talent for open positions.
• Coordinate and execute pre-employment processes, including reference checks, background screenings, and offer negotiations.
• Prepare and present offer letters, onboarding documentation, and ensure a smooth candidate-to-employee transition.
• Be trained on the new hire onboarding and orientation programs to ensure a positive and compliant employee experience.
• Maintain and update employee records while ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Support employee relations by assisting with responding to inquiries, addressing concerns and offboarding in a professional and timely manner.
• Assist in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and programs.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and support audits as needed.
• Contribute to performance management processes, including tracking reviews, supporting managers, and maintaining documentation.
• Assist with benefits administration, employee engagement initiatives, and training and development programs.
• Support payroll coordination and ensure accurate employee data for compensation processing.
• Participate in HR projects and initiatives to improve processes, systems, and employee experience.
• Maintain strict confidentiality of all employee, candidate, and organizational information.
• Remain flexible and responsive to evolving business needs, taking on additional HR responsibilities as required.

• Experience working with multiple hiring managers to identify and develop tailored job descriptions and recruitment strategies.
• Understanding of human resources, to include recruiting, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.
• Attentive to detail and well organized; ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities and maintain accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal skills; able to communicate with tact and diplomacy.
• Ability to handle personal information and maintain confidentiality.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred.
