Job summary

DMI is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support a Federal program, bridging EPMO delivery teams with program-level milestones. The role requires fluency to understand engineers’ work, manage integration dependencies, and prepare scope estimates for Salesforce, data pipelines, API, and AI/ML streams.

The candidate will oversee IMS maintenance, coordinate with DevOps and engineering teams, and report technical status to Government stakeholders. On-site hybrid work in the DC area is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, CS, or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of program management experience in a federal environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage program-level milestone tracking for platform and integration workstreams (Salesforce, Azure data pipelines, API integrations, AI/ML).
  • Maintain and update the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) weekly and present updates at status meetings.
  • Run weekly technical stand‑ups and sprint reviews; identify cross‑platform dependencies and blockers.
  • Translate technical risks and delivery milestones into government‑friendly status updates.
  • Coordinate with Data Engineers, Salesforce Developers, and AI/ML Engineers to ensure readiness ahead of delivery timelines.
  • Contribute LOE estimates and technical scope definitions for tasks and activities.

About the Opportunity

DMI is seeking a Technical Project Manager with deep platform and integration expertise to support the Federal program. This individual will bridge the EPMO's technical delivery teams and program-level milestone tracking, translating delivery risks and achievements into language that Government stakeholders and leadership can act on. The role requires sufficient technical fluency to understand what engineers are building, manage integration-level dependencies, and produce accurate scope estimates for Salesforce, data pipeline, API, and AI/ML workstreams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage program-level milestone tracking for all platform and integration workstreams, including Salesforce, Azure data pipelines, API integrations, and AI/ML delivery tracks
  • Maintain and update the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) for all platform workstreams weekly; provide updated IMS at each weekly status meeting
  • Run weekly technical stand‑ups and sprint reviews across platform workstreams; identify and elevate cross‑platform dependencies and blockers
  • Translate technical risks, delivery achievements, and integration constraints into program-level status for Government stakeholders
  • Coordinate with Data Engineers, Salesforce Developers, and AI/ML Engineers to ensure foundational infrastructure readiness ahead of solution delivery timelines
  • Contribute Level-of-Effort (LOE) estimates and technical scope definitions for task order and special activities
  • Perform impact analysis when scope changes occur; communicate changes to Government stakeholders in program terms within two (2) business days
  • Coordinate environment provisioning readiness, QA sequencing, and production release scheduling with technical leads and the Azure DevOps Engineer
  • Produce bi‑weekly technical delivery status reports for the COR and Program Director covering milestone status, open blockers, release readiness, and technical risk disposition
  • Ensure platform delivery complies with DevSecOps, security scanning, vulnerability remediation, and CI/CD governance.
  • Coordinate release readiness assessments across multiple Agile teams.
Qualifications

Education and Years of Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or a related field required
  • Minimum 8 years of program management experience managing technical IT workstreams in a federal environment

Required Skills & Certifications:

  • Experience managing technical delivery workstreams involving Salesforce, Azure, and API‑based integration environments
  • Proficiency in Integrated Master Schedule development and maintenance using Microsoft Project or equivalent
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum sprint management using Jira or Azure DevOps
  • Ability to read and interpret technical design documents, data flow diagrams, and API specifications
  • Familiarity with FedRAMP compliance requirements and federal cloud infrastructure preferred

Citizenship Status Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen

Location: Rockville, MD

Work Arrangement: Hybrid – must work onsite at McLean, VA (1 day remote)
