Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Technical Project Manager III within the Payments Technology Risk & Controls Group to lead complex technology initiatives that align with business goals and client value.

You will collaborate with software development, QA, and business teams to plan, execute, and govern programs, leveraging AI capabilities to accelerate planning and risk synthesis while maintaining rigorous data handling standards.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in technical program management for technology controls execution.
  • Experience using enterprise‑authorized AI to support technical program management workflows with validation habits and data sensitivity awareness.
  • Ability to review and validate AI‑assisted plans, risks and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning to break down objectives into manageable tasks and activities.
  • Proven experience leading through the project lifecycle, influencing decisions and adapting to evolving business needs.
  • Strong technical fluency with current platforms, software tools and technologies.
  • Proficient in stakeholder management and driving mutually beneficial outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans with technical requirements, resources, and timelines to ensure timely delivery of technology projects.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, addressing roadblocks and implementing risk management strategies.
  • Uses enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities to accelerate planning, RAID, and status narratives, with proper data handling.
  • Promote AI-assisted governance artifacts and reporting with human review and delivery standards alignment.
  • Collaborate with software development, QA, and business stakeholders to define scope, objectives, and deliverables.
  • Evaluate and recommend technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation.
  • Monitor progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency throughout the lifecycle.
  • Review AI‑assisted plans and risks for validation, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations.

Your strong communication abilities will enable you to effectively collaborate with cross‑functional teams and manage stakeholder relationships, ensuring alignment on project objectives and governance. By optimizing resources and managing risks, you will contribute to the successful delivery of high‑impact projects that shape the future of the firm.

Job responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, incorporating technical requirements, resource allocation, and timelines to ensure timely and successful delivery of technology projects

  • Identify and mitigate project risks, proactively addressing potential roadblocks and implementing risk management strategies to minimize impact on project outcomes

  • Uses enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to accelerate project planning and risk synthesis (e.g., drafting plans, RAID, and status narratives), validating outputs and handling data according to sensitivity requirements.

  • Promotes reuse‑first, AI‑assisted practices for project governance artifacts and reporting, ensuring human review and alignment to delivery standards.

  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including software development, quality assurance, and business stakeholders, to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with business goals

  • Utilize technical fluency to evaluate and recommend appropriate technologies, platforms, and vendor products for project implementation

  • Monitor project progress, adjusting plans and schedules as needed, and providing regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and effective communication throughout the project or program lifecycle

  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support technical program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • 3+ years of experience or equivalent expertise in technical program management, specifically Technology Controls Execution, leading complex technology projects and programs in a fast‑paced environment

  • Demonstrated experience using enterprise‑authorized AI capabilities within the work environment to support technical program management workflows with strong validation habits and awareness of data sensitivity.

  • Ability to review and validate AI‑assisted plans, risks, and recommendations before use, escalating when uncertain and following data handling expectations.

  • Demonstrated proficiency in applying analytical reasoning and problem‑solving techniques to break down business, technical, or operational objectives into manageable tasks and activities

  • Proven experience leading through the project lifecycle management, including influencing decision makers and adapting to changes as business needs evolve

  • Strong technical fluency, with familiarity in current and relevant platforms, software tools, and technologies

  • Proficient in stakeholder management, with a track record of establishing productive working relationships and driving mutually beneficial outcomes

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
  • Experience in a Financial Services industry

  • Experience working with Technology Controls

  • Experience with AWS
