Physical Security Systems & Technologies

Demonstrated experience managing, administering, or supporting enterprise physical security technology platforms, including:

  • Genetec Security Center
  • Software House CCURE 9000
  • Video Management Systems (VMS)
  • Physical Access Control Systems (PACS)
  • Intercom and mass notification systems

Experience coordinating system upgrades, migrations, expansions, and lifecycle management activities for enterprise security systems across geographically dispersed locations.

Working Knowledge of Physical Security System Architecture

Working knowledge of physical security system architecture, including:

  • Access control panels
  • Readers and credentials
  • Video archivers
  • Servers and storage
  • Security system integrations

Ability to translate operational security requirements into technical solutions and project deliverables.

Project Management & Technical Leadership
  • Proven experience leading technical projects involving physical security technologies from planning through implementation, testing, commissioning, and operational handoff.
  • Experience developing project schedules, budgets, risk assessments, stakeholder communications, and executive-level status reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate efforts among internal stakeholders, IT infrastructure teams, cybersecurity teams, facilities personnel, vendors, and contractors.
  • Experience managing competing priorities while supporting critical operational environments with minimal disruption to business operations.
Compliance & Critical Infrastructure
  • Experience supporting regulated or critical infrastructure environments.
  • Knowledge of audit readiness, change management, evidence retention, and documentation practices.
  • Familiarity with NERC CIP requirements, cybersecurity controls, physical security standards, or other compliance frameworks is preferred.
Technical Skills

Working knowledge of:

Technical Project Manager II

Salary Grade: G05

Minimum Midpoint Maximum

$94,831- $128,022- $161,213

Personnel in this job title may be covered by NERC CIP cyber security standards. If the position is covered, prior to being hired, promoted, or transferred into the position, the candidate must successfully pass a Personnel Risk Assessment, which includes identity verification and a criminal background check. Prior to being granted unescorted access to cyber secure areas, the candidate must attend cyber security training. Annual cyber security training is also required.

SUMMARY

Under general supervision, plans, develops, coordinates, and directs all phases, including construction of large multi-departmental technical projects requiring coordination with external organizations and governmental agencies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directs projects to completion within schedule, cost, performance objectives, and standards
  • Directs detailed and complex projects while minimizing costs and environmental risk
  • Leads the development of innovative solutions to technical and engineering problems encountered by the project
  • Represents PNM and the project at public hearings and in discussions with government agencies
  • Coordinates strategy for the acquisition of the project's regulatory permits and the legal defense thereof
  • Directs the compilation of project budgets
  • Tracks costs and advises management on project performance
  • Delegates assignments among project teams including project goals and schedules
  • Directs and oversees the development of project performance standards and criteria
  • Promotes awareness and compliance with corporate EEO and loss control policies
  • Develops environmental permitting strategies for projects
  • Directs internal experts, consultants, and attorneys in the implementation of the environmental permitting strategies for projects
  • Represents PNM and the project in meetings with the NM Attorney Generals office and the NMPUC
  • Informs and advises management on project direction, economic, and legal risk
  • Presents expert environmental and project testimony before commissions, regulatory agencies, Federal and State courts

QUALIFICATIONS
MINIMUM EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in a specified technical field with five to seven years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and/or experience related to the discipline.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

Must possess a current, legally valid driver¿s license and meet the company¿s driving record requirements.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

Directs, coordinates, and reviews a team of technical and administrative personnel in a matrix management mode for each project of responsibility. Coordinates external professional, technical and legal consultants, and attorneys working on the project.
