Universal Avionics in Duluth, GA, onsite, seeks a Technical Project Manager – Flight Deck to lead cross-functional engineering teams and drive avionics product development from concept through certification and production.

  • Develop project plans, technical proposals, statements of work, and execution strategies for successful program delivery.
  • Proactively identify risks, resolve roadblocks, and drive timely decision-making across teams.
  • Influence technical direction and help teams navigate complex engineering challenges.
  • Monitor project performance related to scope, schedule, resources, and budgets.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to leadership and stakeholders.
  • Support compliance activities and ensure alignment with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.

We are seeking a Technical Project Manager – Flight Deck to lead cross-functional engineering teams developing advanced avionics products and capabilities. This role combines technical leadership, program execution, and strategic planning to ensure projects are successfully delivered on schedule, within scope, and aligned with customer and regulatory requirements.

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

  • Familiarity with project management tools such as MS Project, Jira, or similar platforms
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving capabilities
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and make sound decisions in dynamic environments
  • Bachelor's degree in Software, Electrical, Mechanical, Systems, Project Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years of engineering development experience and 3 years of engineering project leadership experience preferred
  • Aerospace, aviation, or avionics experience is highly desirable
