Job summary

SoloPoint Solutions, Inc. seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to lead PLD/FPGA design, schematic capture and PCB layouts for military hardware.

The role emphasizes hands-on development, prototype testing, and strict adherence to design requirements. You will develop custom circuits, maintain comprehensive internal documentation, generate BOMs and TRDs, and participate in Technical Program management meetings, communicating technical issues clearly with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 7+ years hands-on design and development experience with military hardware preferred.
• Experience with PLD/FPGA design.
• Schematic capture and PCB design experience.
• Experience with analog, digital, mixed-signal processing, control systems, sensors, microprocessors and microcontrollers.
• Proficiency with Altium, OrCAD, PSpice, and Verilog.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks/projects.

Responsibilities

• PLD/FPGA designs, schematic diagrams, and PCB layouts, followed by prototype testing and compliance verification.
• Develop custom circuit designs and architectures with thorough internal documentation.
• Interpret technical requirements and translate them into design solutions.
• Generate BOMs and pricing sheets; develop TRDs.
• Participate in Technical Program management meetings and communicate technical issues with customers.
• Take on additional tasks as assigned by Shared Resources Department Manager and Program Manager.

Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering 7+ years of hands-on design and development experience with military hardware preferred. Design PLD or FPGA, electronic schematic diagram, PCBs, test prototype and verify compliance with design requirements Proficiency in various aspects of electronics systems, including analog, digital, mixed-signal processing, control systems, sensors, microprocessors, microcontrollers. Competent in schematic capture using industry-standard tools such as Altium, OrCAD, PSpice, and Verilog. Skilled in the creation of essential product documentation, including Bill of Materials (BOM), Test Requirement Documents (TRD), and manufacturing instructions. Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
