Job summary

Reston Consulting Group Inc. is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (Deputy PM) in Washington, DC to support a federal program. This is a full-time, on-site role requiring five days per week at the customer location.

The Deputy PM will lead planning, execution, and delivery of IT projects, coordinating with government stakeholders and technical teams to ensure on-time, on-budget performance in line with contract requirements.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance is required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, PM, or a related field.
  • At least five years of PM experience overseeing IT projects.
  • Experience leading IT projects from initiation to completion.
  • Experience with ServiceNow for report configuration and generation.
  • Strong knowledge of PM methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and managing multiple IT projects from initiation through completion.
  • Support project scheduling, resource planning, and budget management to ensure successful delivery.
  • Monitor project performance, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate communication among project stakeholders to align objectives and deliverables.
  • Track milestones, dependencies, and overall progress.
  • Prepare project documentation, executive reports, and status updates for leadership and customers.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to meet customer expectations and contractual requirements.

Clearance Requirement: Active Secret Clearance
Salary Range: $140,000 - $155,000 (DOE)

The Opportunity

RCG is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager (Deputy PM) to support a federal government program in Washington, DC. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring five (5) days per week at the customer's location.

The Deputy PM will assist in leading the planning, execution, and successful delivery of IT projects while working closely with government stakeholders, technical teams, and program leadership. This individual will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in accordance with contractual requirements.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional technical teams to ensure projects meet customer expectations and contractual requirements.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
  • Active Secret Clearance (Required)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Project Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of project management experience.
  • Experience leading and managing IT projects from initiation through completion.
  • ServiceNow experience with report configuration and generation
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
  • Excellent leadership, organizational, and team coordination skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Full-time position
  • On-site in Washington, DC - Five (5) days per week
  • Collaborative, mission-focused federal government environment
  • Occasional interaction with executive leadership and government stakeholders
