Job summary

Irvine Technology Corporation (ITC) is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager in Chicago, IL, on a hybrid basis, for a 12-month contract. The role blends project management with business analysis to guide data initiatives across engineering, architecture, product, and business teams.

You’ll lead planning through delivery, ensure alignment with strategic goals, and communicate progress to senior leadership. Strong data concepts and experience with Jira/Confluence are preferred.

• 5+ years partnering with Director-level and senior leadership.
• Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models.
• Strong business analysis and requirements gathering skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional data and technology initiatives from planning through implementation, managing scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, and delivery.
• Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements and translate needs into project plans.
• Drive day-to-day execution, establish ownership, track milestones, and resolve risks and constraints.
• Coordinate across Data, Technology, business teams, vendors, and partners with clear updates to senior leadership.
• Support implementation readiness, including testing, documentation, training, and handoff.

Technical Project Manager

Our client is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to lead strategic and tactical initiatives across a growing Data organization. This role is ideal for someone who combines strong project management and business analysis skills with enough technical and data knowledge to effectively partner with engineering, architecture, product, and business teams. The ideal candidate is highly organized, self-directed, and comfortable bringing structure and accountability to complex initiatives in fast-moving, ambiguous environments.

Location: Chicago, IL – Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week

Type: 12-month contract

Compensation: This job is expected to pay about $75–85/hr W2

What You’ll Do:

• Lead cross-functional data and technology initiatives from planning through implementation, managing scope, timelines, resources, dependencies, and delivery.
• Partner with business and technical teams to gather requirements, analyze processes, and translate business needs into actionable project plans and solutions.
• Drive day-to-day execution, establish clear ownership, track milestones, and proactively resolve risks, issues, and resource constraints.
• Coordinate across Data, Technology, business teams, vendors, and other partners while providing clear, concise project updates and decision-ready communications to senior leadership.
• Support implementation readiness, including testing, documentation, communications, training, operational handoff, and continuous improvement of project delivery practices.

What Gets You the Job:

• 7+ years of project, program, or delivery management experience within data, technology, or related environments, with 5+ years partnering with Director-level and senior leadership.
• Strong project management experience across Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid delivery models, with the ability to independently drive complex cross-functional initiatives.
• Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, process analysis, and translating business needs into actionable deliverables.
• Working knowledge of data concepts and the ability to effectively partner with data engineers, architects, product owners, and other technical teams.
• Strong executive communication skills and proficiency with Jira, Confluence, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint.
