Job summary

NIRA, Inc. is seeking a Technical Project Manager to support multiple technical efforts delivering cloud-based solutions for federal customers. The role emphasizes project oversight, governance, and coordination across stakeholders to modernize information management and sharing within the customer organization.

The position requires strong communication, 3+ years in AWS, and a solid SOA/governance background. This is a hybrid role with on-site work in Washington, DC as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight and manage contract deliverables including Monthly Status Report and Schedule.
• Coordinate and lead Technical Interchange Meetings amongst stakeholders.
• Coordinate and lead formal Engineering Reviews and track all actions, issues and decisions.
• Provide monthly risk updates covering technical, cost and schedule risks.
• Establish and maintain program-level integration and schedule activities for developed solutions.
• Participate in federal Configuration Control Boards (CCB) and provide inputs as needed.
• Provide Configuration Management support for the production infrastructure.
• Identify, track, document and provide status on programmatic, contractual and technical concerns.
• Support the Government with inputs and direction to the Cloud vendor.
• Support In-Service Decision activities to ensure successful rollout of the developed solution.
• Provide in-service management services and support for future enhancements as directed by Government.
• Support Government in adhering to security requirements.

Position Overview:

NIRA, Inc., a rapidly expanding women-owned small business, is seeking a Technical Project Manager to join our team supporting multiple technical efforts for our customers. This role will apply project management principles and practices to support implementation of cloud-based technologies and solutions to modernize the way the customer organization manages and shares information.

Key responsibilities include:

• Provide technical oversight and manage contract deliverables including Monthly Status Report and Schedule.
• Coordinate and lead the Technical Interchange Meetings amongst stakeholders.
• Coordinate and lead formal Engineering Reviews, document and track all action items, issues, and decisions.

Key position requirements:

• B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Science or a related field.
• 6+ years of experience as Technical Project Manager, Technical Program Manager, System Engineer, Software Engineer, or a similar role.
• Knowledge and experiences with middleware platforms or enterprise application integration approaches, especially using messaging, web services, or APIs.
• Understanding of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) and related governance issues.
• 3+ years of experience with cloud computing environments such as Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• Exceptional oral and written communication skills, capable of effectively articulating complex technical concepts and collaborating across diverse teams.

Desired Experience:

• Proven experience in supporting major federal acquisition programs.
• Prior experience in a management consulting or business advisory position.
• Experience managing inter-agency collaborations and good understanding of federal procurement processes.

This position is a hybrid role that requires a flexible schedule, with the possibility of working one to two days per week on-site in our Washington, DC office.
