Job summary

The Walt Disney Company in Orlando, FL seeks a Technical Project Manager to plan and coordinate multi‑team technology initiatives within Disney Experiences (DX) Tech & Digital. You will manage schedules, scope and risks while aligning with leaders and partners across Product, Design, Technology, and Vendors.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of technical project/program management with engineering teams
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/Info Systems/Software/EE or equivalent
• Understanding of Cloud, APIs, databases, SDLC, and product development
• Strong influence, negotiation, communication and relationship-building
• Experience with Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall and blended approaches

Responsibilities

As a Technical Project Manager you will support the planning and coordination of projects within a program, helping manage interdependencies in support of specific business strategies. You will also apply project management principles and techniques to support project schedule, scope, quality, cost and performance risks. The Technical Project Manager will work closely with cross-discipline technology teams,leadershipand business partners to understand technical and business direction,milestonesand budget.

WhatYou’llDo:

• Supports execution and delivery of technical projects through the delivery life cycle, helping ensure projects are delivered timely and on-budget.
• Works with engineering teams, including Software Engineers, Product Managers, Architects, and leadership to follow established processes across assigned project areas that support success on prioritized projects and improve efficiency.
• Facilitates Agile project management ceremonies and processes for project teams.
• Maintain monthly forecast submissions, including adjustments to resource allocations, vendor payment schedules, and forecasts for partner teams
• Conduct regular project status meetings with partners, ensuring needs and requirements are met
• Build project reports and dashboards for project management, sponsors, and partners
• Monitors project plan and supports adjustments to respond to unplanned changes, helping ensure the project is progressing to meet team goals
• Act as a liaison among multiple teams, including Product Management, Design, Technology, vendors, and other key functional delivery teams
• Support project delivery by coordinating cross‑functional dependencies, helping resolve blockers, and managing RAID to help ensure milestones stay on track
• Escalate key issues and risks to ensuretimelyresolution and mitigation
• Ensure proper project closure including lessons learned, transition and hand-off to production operations support, and final financial reporting
• Support Jira and Confluence administration and reporting, helping ensure consistent Agile processes, traceability, and delivery visibility
• Support roadmap planning, dependency mapping, and infrastructure migration coordination using Advanced Roadmapsand aligned tracking artifacts
• Supportcross‑functional teams through informal guidance and program‑level coordination across Scrum teams and vendors
• Support Jira Cloud migration readiness, including cleanup, process alignment, and adoption support

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Must have minimum of 3 years of technical project/program management experience working with technical teams developing enterprise class solutions
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Info Systems, Software, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or comparable field of study, and/or equivalent work experience.
• Understanding of Cloud, APIs, services, database technologies, technologist roles and responsibilities, capabilities & platform dependencies, software development lifecycle,engineeringand/or product development
• Influence and negotiation, communication, professional maturity & organizational savvy, relationship building, dependency mapping
• Must have hands‑on experience with practices such as Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall, with growing experience blending styles tofacilitatecollaboration and delivery
• Must have working understanding of Agile technical practices,DevOpsand testing concepts (CI/CD, TDD)
• Experience applying project management practices including Agile, Lean, Kanban, Waterfall
• Must have experience and knowledge of AI emerging technologies,nomenclatureand strategies

Preferred Qualifications:

• Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

The hiring range for this position in Orlando, FL is $101,800 - $136,500. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and also may vary depending on the candidate’s geographic region, job‑related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors. A bonus and/or long-term incentive units may be provided as part of the compensation package, in addition to the full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits, dependent on the level and position offered.
