Job summary

California Food Banks™ is seeking a proactive Project Manager to oversee six to ten concurrent projects, guiding them to successful outcomes that align with the organization's priorities. You will lead kickoff, planning, and status meetings, while maintaining transparency around budget, schedule, and scope.

You will build trusted advisor relationships across teams, manage change, remove obstacles to productivity, and ensure delivery on time and on budget.

Qualifications

• Experience managing projects in the nonprofit sector.
• Experience guiding complex technology projects (CRM deployments).
• Proven ability to manage budgets and schedules.
• Collaborate with clients or external stakeholders effectively.
• WMP/ PMP certification preferred.

In this forward-looking, proactive role, you will oversee and be responsible for managing six to ten projects at a time, dependent on size and complexity. You will drive projects forward and be an advocate for successful outcomes that serve both California Food Banks™ and the team's priorities.

With your strong communication and interpersonal skills, you will build trusted advisor relationships with our team members and take the lead in managing crucial project conversations effectively. You will provide transparency around budget, schedule and scope while navigating technical or association complexity, with the higher goal of guiding effective decision-making that supports the key project objectives.

You will nurture a collaborative environment, identifying and removing obstacles to productivity and integrating interdependent workstreams. You will provide a long-range view and the objective perspective needed to deliver great work on time and on budget.

Required Qualifications:

• Experience working within the nonprofit sector
• Experience managing complex technology projects, ideally Salesforce CRM, NetSuite or another CRM deployments
• Experience with Box Content Mgmt. and Microsoft technology
• Experience working closely with Salesforce and NetSuite
• Experience managing relationships with clients or external stakeholders
• Experience with RFP vendor selection
• Flexibility to travel on occasion
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to present complex technical information in an understandable way.
• 5+ years of experience managing projects
• PMP Certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Expert knowledge of business processes in the nonprofit and/or community development sector.
