Job summary
Wissen Technology in New York is seeking a Technical Project Manager at VP level to lead end-to-end software and technology projects. A strong hands-on software background and 15+ years IT experience are required to bridge development and delivery excellence.
You will work with engineering, product, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders, translating requirements into technical plans and managing scope, timelines, and budgets in a hybrid onsite setting.

- 15+ years of IT experience is required.
- Hands-on software development background earlier in career is preferred.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, software architecture, APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud technologies.
- Experience with Java/.NET/Python or similar programming technologies.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software and technology projects.

- Collaborate with engineering teams, architects, product managers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Understand architecture, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, integrations, and development processes.
- Translate business requirements into technical plans, milestones, and deliverables.
- Manage scope, schedule, resources, risks, dependencies, budgets, and timelines.
- Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies and drive multi-team execution.
- Identify risks and blockers and work with leadership to resolve them.
- Provide technical guidance and validate estimates, designs, and approaches.
- Manage releases, deployments, production readiness, and post-production activities.
- Communicate project status and technical decisions to senior leadership.

- Lead end-to-end delivery of complex software and technology projects.

- Transitioned from a Developer/Technical Lead/Architect role into Technical Project Management.
- Work closely with engineering teams, architects, product managers, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
- Understand technical architecture, application design, APIs, databases, cloud platforms, integrations, and development processes.

- Lead Agile/Scrum ceremonies and drive execution across multiple technical teams.
- Identify technical risks and blockers and work with engineering leadership to resolve them.
- Provide technical guidance and effectively challenge/validate estimates, designs, and implementation approaches.
- Manage release planning, deployments, production readiness, and post-production activities.
- Communicate project status, risks, and technical decisions to senior leadership.
- 15+ years of overall IT experience.
- Prior hands-on experience as a Software Developer, Technical Lead, or Software Engineer.
- Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum, software architecture, APIs, microservices, databases, and cloud technologies.
- Strong understanding of Java/.NET/Python or similar programming technologies.
- Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices.
- Experience managing cross-functional and geographically distributed teams.
- Strong stakeholder, risk, dependency, and resource management.
- Excellent communication and executive presentation skills.
- Experience with Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar tools.
