Job summary

NorthMark Strategies LLC is seeking a Technical Project Manager (TPM) to lead end-to-end IT projects across a diverse portfolio, from infrastructure upgrades to application rollouts. You will partner with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver on scope, schedule, and budget.

The role requires 4–8 years of PM experience in IT, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365.

The Position

We are the IT function for a diversified portfolio of businesses spanning Oil & Gas, Motorsport, Engineering, and other industries. Our team serves as the shared technology backbone across the portfolio — delivering back-office technical support and strategic technology initiatives to a set of operationally complex, fast-moving business lines. No two days look alike, and the variety is part of what makes this environment genuinely interesting.

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for end-to-end planning, coordination, and delivery of IT projects across this portfolio. The project mix spans internal corporate initiatives focused on stability and technical-debt reduction, and customer-facing engagements deploying applications and platforms for portfolio companies. Operating as an individual contributor within a developing PMO, the TPM manages a moderate portfolio of 3 to 4 concurrent project workstreams, partnering closely with engineering, operations, and business stakeholders to deliver on scope, on schedule, and within budget.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Delivery

• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, schedules, and resource requirements across a concurrent portfolio of 3 to 4 IT initiatives.
• Drive end-to-end delivery across project types - from infrastructure upgrades and cloud migrations to application rollouts and cross-functional business programs.
• Monitor project health continuously; surface risks and dependencies early and surface blockers with a recommended path forward.
• Own scope and change control; ensure all changes are documented, evaluated, and approved before work proceeds.
• Deliver internal corporate IT projects spanning corporate infrastructure, endpoint and user devices, cloud, and identity and access management (IAM).
• Coordinate delivery of cybersecurity projects in partnership with the cybersecurity team and support AI engineering initiatives across the organization.
• Manage customer-facing engagements with portfolio companies
• Provide project services in support of enterprise programs as assigned, potentially including the finance transformation.

Stakeholder & Communication Management

• Act as the primary point of contact for project communications across portfolio business units
• Prepare status reports, meeting summaries, and project documentation tailored to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Facilitate project ceremonies including kickoffs, steering updates, and retrospectives.
• Engage effectively at every level, from individual contributors to executives, adjusting depth and framing to fit.
• Coordinate with external vendors and technology partners, tracking deliverables against SOWs and flagging contractual risks as they emerge.
• Collaborate with procurement and legal to ensure vendor engagements meet organizational standards and risk tolerance.

PMO & Process Contribution

• Maintain accurate, audit-ready project records and documentation.
• Apply Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery approaches as the project context requires.
• Actively contribute to PMO maturation. Participate in improving templates, processes, and governance practices as the function evolves.

Requirements:

• 4 to 8 years of project management experience in an IT or technology-focused environment.
• PMP certification or equivalent (CAPM, PMI-ACP, Prince2)or active pursuit with a defined timeline to certification.
• Demonstrated experience in Agile/Scrum environments; Scrum Master certification (CSM or equivalent) a plus.
• Working proficiency with Jira, Confluence, and the Microsoft 365 suite (SharePoint, Teams, and related tools).
• Experience coordinating with external vendors and tracking deliverables against contractual obligations.
• Exposure to one or more IT domains: cybersecurity, identity and access management (IAM), corporate infrastructure, endpoint/user devices, cloud (AWS or Azure), application delivery, or data and analytics.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging across technical and business audiences — from individual contributors to executives.
• Demonstrated ability to work through ambiguity — organized and effective in difficult, complex environments, working across the organization to keep initiatives moving.

Preferred Qualifications

• Practical experience using AI productivity tools (Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or similar) to accelerate project work — documentation, reporting, meeting summaries, or analysis.
• Exposure to security or compliance tooling environments (IAM, cloud security, endpoint protection) in a coordination or governance capacity.
• Familiarity with ITIL, SAFe, or similar enterprise IT frameworks.
• Experience supporting technology initiatives across multi-entity or portfolio-of-businesses environments.
