Summary:
The Technical Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of technical projects within the organization, to the ultimate benefit of our clients. This role requires a blend of project management skills and technical knowledge to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and aligned with business objectives.
How our Technical Project Manager spends their time:
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, timelines, resources, and budget;
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and success criteria;
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams that are both technical and non-technical, including engineering, sales, product management, operations, and design;
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to applicable clients, stakeholders, and senior management;
- Work closely with new clients to ensure a smooth transition to Verified First’s services;
- Allocate and manage resources effectively to ensure project milestones are met;
- Identify and resolve resource conflicts as they arise;
- Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies;
- Monitor risk factors throughout the project lifecycle;
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams;
- Ensure adherence to technical standards and best practices;
- Implement quality assurance processes to ensure project deliverables meet standards;
- Conduct project reviews and retrospectives for continuous improvement;
- Maintain project documentation, including status reports, meeting notes, and project artifacts;
- Prepare and present regular project updates to stakeholders;
- Monitor project budgets and ensure financial accountability;
- Prepare forecasts and reports on project financials;
- Other duties as assigned
What you bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, or a related field; PMP or equivalent certification preferred;
- Proven success as a Project Manager in a technical environment;
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall);
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills;
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Microsoft Project);
- Familiarity with software development processes and methodologies;
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work under pressure
