Position Summary

The University of Dayton Research Institute (UDRI) is seeking a motivated technical project manager to join our agile and multi-disciplinary team of professionals, supporting multiple customers leveraging cutting-edge technology. This position will support the AM Engineering Group, including lead technical project managers, program managers, production teams, and engineers. The role involves assisting engineers with weekly project management tasks using agile-inspired methods to ensure projects stay on track. Focus areas include managing lower-level detail items that contribute to high-level task orders, such as production, engineering support, customer support, and quality assurance. Responsibilities include tracking daily schedules, formatting technical or financial information into desired formats, and coordinating schedules, costs, and deliverables with program management teams. Reviewing deliverables before submission and providing customer-facing support, including data presentation and information transmission, are also key duties. Ability to obtain a Common Access Card (CAC) is required.

Minimum Qualifications

P1 Requirements:

1. Associate's degree in business management or equivalent.
2. At least 3 years of experience in technical project management.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
4. Experience with MS Project for program management.
5. Ability to create professional briefings and communications using MS PowerPoint.
6. Attention to detail.
7. Effective interpersonal communication skills.
8. Successful collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team.
9. Effective verbal communication with clients at all levels.
10. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
11. U.S. citizenship is required due to research contract obligations with the federal government.

P2 Requirements:

1. All P1 qualifications are required.
2. Bachelor’s degree in business management, technical, or equivalent, with 3+ years of professional work experience.
3. Familiarity with agile project management methodologies.

Preferred Qualifications

While not mandatory, the ideal candidate will possess many of the following:

• Experience in Agile Project Management.
• Agile Scrum Master certification.
• DAU Level I or II Lifecycle Logistics certification or PMP certification.
• Knowledge of US Air Force policies and procedures.
• Over 5 years of experience in business, finance, or technical project management.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Background in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Proven success in proposal writing.
• Experience collaborating with engineering and technical teams.
• Active CAC holder.
