Job summary

TeamShield Group in the Greater Boston area seeks a technically fluent Technical Project Manager to own complex technology engagements from contract through go-live. You will be the primary client-facing point, coordinating with stakeholders, consultants, and engineers to ensure every engagement meets scope, schedule, and value.

You’ll lead detailed plans, risk registers, and status reports, running status meetings and business reviews.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of project management experience
• 2+ years managing client-facing technology engagements
• Proven track record of owning client relationships through the full delivery lifecycle
• Strong communication skills across technical and executive audiences
• Fluency with AI tools as part of everyday work
• Experience with IT services delivery or technology consulting

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary customer point of contact throughout the project lifecycle—from kick-off to delivery and handoff
• Own end-to-end delivery of customer-facing technology engagements, managing scope, timeline, and budget
• Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports
• Lead regular customer status meetings, business reviews, and escalation calls
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical client stakeholders and relay business requirements to engineering teams
• Manage multiple concurrent customer engagements without dropping the ball
• Leverage AI tools to draft, summarize, research, and solve problems faster
• Contribute to refining delivery processes and playbooks as the company scales

The role

As a Technical Project Manager at TeamShield Group, you'll be the face of delivery for our clients --- owning complex technology engagements end-to-end and serving as the primary point of contact from contract through go-live. You'll partner closely with client stakeholders, our consulting team, and technical architects to ensure every engagement moves from strategy to execution, on time, on scope, and above expectations.

This is a highly client-facing role with real visibility across our client base and the organization.

What You'll Do

• Serve as the primary customer point of contact throughout the project lifecycle --- from kick-off through delivery and handoff
• Own end-to-end delivery of customer-facing technology engagements, managing scope, timeline, and budget
• Build and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, risk registers, and status reports
• Run regular customer status meetings, business reviews, and escalation calls with confidence and clarity
• Translate technical concepts for non-technical client stakeholders and relay business requirements back to engineering teams
• Manage multiple concurrent customer engagements without dropping the ball
• Leverage AI tools fluently in day-to-day operations --- from drafting communications and summarizing project status to accelerating problem-solving and decision-making
• Contribute to refining delivery processes, client-facing playbooks, and our AEGIS Method implementation practices as we scale

What We're Looking For

• 4+ years of project management experience, with at least 2 years managing client-facing technology engagements
• Proven track record of owning client relationships through the full delivery lifecycle
• Sharp problem-solving instincts and mental agility --- you think on your feet, adapt quickly, and find a path forward when the unexpected happens
• Strong communication skills --- equally comfortable in a technical deep-dive and an executive business review
• Solid understanding of IT services delivery, including infrastructure, networking, or managed services environments
• Fluency with AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, or similar) as part of everyday work --- using them to draft, summarize, research, and solve problems faster
• Proficiency with project management tools (Jira, Smartsheet or similar)
• Working knowledge of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, SD-WAN, firewalls, VPNs, routing/switching)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) or cybersecurity concepts
• Background in IT services, managed services, or technology consulting
• Prior experience at a growth-stage company
