Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager in the United States. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish, plan requirements, identify risks, and manage schedules with cross-functional partners.

You will explain analyses to executives and discuss technical tradeoffs with engineers. The AI and Infrastructure team delivers scalable AI capabilities, power, and reliability for billions of users, with roles spanning TPU and Vertex AI developments, data center

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program management.
• Experience in launching new products, encompassing in hardware and software development, and systems infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Orchestrate the overall program strategy and drive End to End (e2e) execution across large/cross-functional teams.
• Set the goal and direction for a program by outlining goals and objectives, evaluating and supervising multiple projects, organizing cross-project work within the program, and defining program controls/governance/standards.
• Manage multiple cross-functional programs simultaneously with engaging priorities. Drive consistency between Cloud processes and central processes.
• Use technical judgment to drive project delivery, technology reviews, challenge proposals and build consensus.
• Manage escalations and unblock obstacles, ensure all leadership/stakeholders are aware of progress/blockers on a continuous basis. Demonstrate strong problem‑solving, negotiation and organizational skills.

Job description

Minimum qualifications

Preferred qualifications

• 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience in hardware engineering, software engineering, GPU Systems and solutions.
• Experience with launching IaaS VM, bare metal and machine of the day products.
• Understanding of large-scale distributed systems and technical judgement.
• Firm sense of accountability, ownership for the project lifecycle and sound knowledge of project management.
