Job summary

GBIT (Global Bridge InfoTech Inc) is seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead large-scale infrastructure migration and modernization efforts. The role requires hands-on migration planning, cross-team collaboration, and strong Cloud/On-prem expertise across Azure or AWS.

You will partner with architecture and engineering teams to define strategies, manage dependencies, and drive secure, compliant execution from strategy through implementation.

Qualifications

  • Must have strong track record delivering large-scale infrastructure migrations and modernizations.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud and on-prem infrastructure migration strategies.
  • Familiarity with Azure and/or AWS and hybrid environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

Role: Technical Program Manager (Infrastructure & Migration)

Contract: Long term W2


Role Overview

We are looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong infrastructure expertise and hands-on experience managing enterprise infrastructure migrations, modernization, and transformation initiatives.


The ideal candidate combines program leadership with a solid technical understanding of cloud, data center, networking, compute, storage, security, and infrastructure operations. This role requires someone who can work closely with infrastructure engineering teams, architects, application teams, vendors, and business stakeholders to plan and execute complex migration programs from strategy through implementation.


Responsibilities


  • Lead end-to-end infrastructure migration and modernization programs, including planning, execution, cutover, and stabilization.

  • Work hands-on with infrastructure teams to understand architecture, dependencies, capacity, performance, and operational requirements.

  • Develop detailed migration roadmaps, work plans, milestones, dependencies, and release/cutover strategies.

  • Coordinate infrastructure activities across compute, storage, networking, databases, security, backup, monitoring, and cloud platforms.

  • Partner with technical architects and engineers to define migration approaches, sequencing, technical risks, and rollback plans.

  • Manage infrastructure discovery, dependency mapping, readiness assessments, and migration waves.

  • Drive execution of cloud migration, data center consolidation, infrastructure refresh, platform modernization, and technology transformation initiatives.

  • Monitor program health, technical risks, issues, dependencies, resource requirements, and delivery timelines.

  • Lead technical working sessions, architecture reviews, migration planning meetings, and executive status reviews.

  • Coordinate with vendors, managed service providers, internal engineering teams, and application owners.

  • Ensure infrastructure changes follow appropriate change management, security, compliance, and operational processes.


Technical Experience


  • Strong experience managing Infrastructure/IT Transformation programs.

  • Hands-on understanding of infrastructure migration methodologies and execution.

  • Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure, preferably Azure and/or AWS.

  • Strong understanding of:

  • Servers / Compute

  • Storage and Backup

  • Databases

  • Data Centers

  • Disaster Recovery / Business Continuity

  • Infrastructure Security

  • Monitoring and Observability

  • Experience with cloud migration and data center migration/consolidation programs.

  • Understanding of infrastructure automation and DevOps practices such as Terraform, CI/CD, scripting, and Infrastructure as Code.

  • Ability to understand technical architecture, identify infrastructure dependencies, and challenge technical assumptions.

  • Experience managing complex technical dependencies across multiple engineering teams.
