Job summary

Google Mountain View is seeking a Technical Program Manager III in the Pixel group to lead multi‑disciplinary data projects from concept to delivery. Technical Program Manager III, Machine Learning and Data, Pixel

Experience driving progress, solving problems, and mentoring more junior team members; deeper expertise and applied knowledge within relevant area.

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with AI/ML model development and deployment.
  • Experience establishing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and standards.
Preferred qualifications:
  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with the software development life cycle and commercializing technical product launches.
  • Experience with specialized machine learning infrastructure, as well as with Android and deploying on-device ML models.
  • Experience with mobile application pen testing.

The Platforms and Devices team encompasses Google's various computing software platforms across environments (desktop, mobile, applications), as well as our first‑party devices and services that combine the best of Google AI, software, and hardware. Teams across this area research, design, and develop new technologies to make our user's interaction with computing faster and more seamless, building innovative experiences for our users around the world.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits

Responsibilities
  • Seek out all necessary schedule inputs and develop a solid, defensible plan for software development release and keep the team tracking to it.
  • Manage communication of progress/status within the core team and externally (customers, partners, etc.), and elevate issues as necessary.
  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs related to data governance, ethics, policy, security, and privacy sensitivities.
  • Focus on the user experience and advocate for the Android/Pixel quality bar internally, as well as with OEM internal and external partners to ensure we maintain a great product.
  • Translate complex technical requirements into repeatable operations protocols.
