Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager for the Integrated Capacity Group to lead multi-disciplinary engineering projects and drive capacity planning across fleets.

You will plan requirements with internal customers, manage schedules, identify risks, and communicate trade-offs to executives and engineers alike.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience with data analysis, business intelligence, or dashboarding tools (e.g., SQL, Plx, or similar metrics platforms).
• Experience with infrastructure capacity planning.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain reporting systems and executive dashboards that provide real-time visibility into global capacity health, resource utilization, and order fulfillment metrics.
• Partner with cross-functional engineering, planning, and operations teams to execute recurring capacity planning cycles and ensure infrastructure delivery aligns with long-term business forecasts.
• Drive fleet efficiency and governance initiatives by monitoring utilization guardrails, identifying stranded resources, and proposing data-backed optimization strategies to reduce the total cost of ownership.
• Analyze complex supply chain data to identify operational bottlenecks, measure on-time delivery Service Level Objectives (SLOs), and establish standardized business operations processes.
• Lead the development of business intelligence tools and data structures to automate manual tracking and enable data-driven decision-making across multiple product areas.

The Integrated Capacity Group (ICG) is the central nervous system for Alphabet’s infrastructure capacity. We are the single governing organization that plans, fulfills, rightsizes, and protects compute, memory, and storage across Google’s core shared fleets (TI, Core, Search, P&D, Geo). We care deeply about operating capacity management at a massive scale, balancing reliability, and driving the lowest Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
