Project Overview

A Technical Program Manager (TPM) is a specialized role at Meta focused on driving the execution of complex technical programs and projects. TPMs leverage their technical expertise, program leadership, and strategic influence to proactively identify and solve problems, drive alignment across cross‑functional teams (XFNs), and increase execution efficiency and communications.

TPMs are especially valuable for programs that are highly cross‑functional, technically complex, or have many dependencies across teams. They often work closely with engineering, product, and legal teams to ensure successful outcomes, particularly in areas like privacy, compliance, and data governance relevant to eDiscovery and Information Governance teams.

Overall Responsibilities

• Program Definition: Help define the right scope, goals, and metrics for projects and programs.
• Roadmap Alignment: Build alignment between teams and coordinate dependencies.
• Risk Mitigation: Identify risks early and work to reduce surprises.
• Communication: Keep stakeholders informed and ensure transparency.
• Program Execution: Track progress, remove blockers, and ensure timely delivery.
• Process Improvement: Enhance process structures to support project teams.
• Technical Leadership: Advocate for quality in technical design and system architectures, and influence team culture for higher product quality.

Required Skills

• Experience leading high complexity, XFN‑heavy full‑stack engineering projects (both front‑ and back‑end components, technical and non‑technical stakeholders) end‑to‑end; developing and managing roadmaps, tracking tickets, producing comms, etc.
• UI Design experience (a significant portion of this role will be assisting with UI design).
• Organization / attention to detail.
