Job summary

Google is seeking a Technical Program Manager II for Fiber Infrastructure within Cloud Networking. You will lead complex, multi-disciplinary programs to plan requirements, manage risks, and coordinate cross‑functional teams across Google Global Infrastructure.

You'll oversee end-to-end delivery of Google's layer‑1 fiber network, manage vendor relationships, and ensure on‑time delivery of capacity and services. This role offers broad impact across Google Cloud and infrastructure.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with vendor management.
  • Experience working with metropolitan/long haul fiber network delivery and ISP/OSP construction.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and perform fiber characterization and acceptance testings to ensure fiber paths meet rigorous Google Acceptance Standards.
  • Create, track, and update project data across internal systems and databases.
  • Identify and investigate operational discrepancies and driving rectification efforts on a case‑by‑case basis.
  • Acts as the primary operational link with external telecommunication vendors and internal teams to ensure physical connectivity is delivered on time and within specifications.
