Google Search is expanding its GenAI capabilities and seeking a Technical Program Manager to lead model release programs. You will work closely with Search executives, DeepMind collaboration teams, and engineering to guide evaluations, set ambitious goals, and ensure high-quality AI-enabled experiences for billions of users.
You will own strategic decision making, drive automation in evaluation workflows, and maintain strong communication across teams under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Search Intelligence is one of three core Product Area groups in Search (alongside Search Platform and Search Verticals), owning core Search and AI experiences. The team delivers response quality, user experience, and conversationality for reliable Generative AI informational journeys in collaboration with platform, vertical, and cross-Product Area teams.
Search Technical Program Managers (TPgMs) serve as strategic program leads and thought partners who establish clear, ambitious, and measurable goals with strict accountability and timelines. Leveraging AI tools, they drive automation and agentic solutions to act as critical thinkers, organizational connectors, and key enablers of engineering velocity.
In this role, you will partner directly with Search executives, engineering model captains, area leads, and the DeepMind OR team to guide model release evaluations and implementation. You will lead crucial prioritization and trade-off decisions that directly shape Search knowledge and intelligence quality, ensuring continuous alignment across teams.
You will have an understanding of AI model mechanics and the product development life cycle. You will analyze evaluations, identify loss patterns, navigate technical solutions, and execute out-of-model quality improvements. You will also manage nuanced communication with DeepMind for foundational model updates and streamline information flow across Search teams. You will possess high AI fluency to implement deep agentic automation effectively. You must grow under pressure, adapt quickly to fast shifts, and maintain strong operational momentum in a high-intensity environment.
