About the job:

A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers.

Our mandate is to enable research and development efforts across the Alphabet by developing, maintaining, supporting, and growing the nGP framework (i.e., non-Google Platforms, non-Google Production (nGP)).

Our work is to provide a seamless suite of nGP services that are catered to our customers’ needs, enabling the advancements in Alphabet products and features.

Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.

Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. US: $163000 - $236000 (USD) + 15% bonus target + equity + benefits Learn more about benefits at Google.

Responsibilities:
  • Define and extract business value from operational data; discover leading indicators, causal relationships, and automated alerts to track system health and performance.
  • Develop and implement time-series forecasting models (e.g., milestone/schedule slippage predictions, volume/capacity run-rates, and SLO risk curves) to proactively mitigate operational bottlenecks.
  • Shadow stakeholder teams to analyze end-to-end workflows and author Product/Technical Requirement Documents (PRDs) and user stories that eliminate manual overhead.
  • Partner closely with Software Engineers and Systems Development Engineers (SDEs) on architecture, API design, database schemas, batch and real-time data pipelines, and machine learning models; review code, SQL queries, and ETL logic to ensure data hygiene.
  • Lead multiple data-solution programs from concept through testing, launch, and user adoption, traversing complex large datasets to extract insights that increase planning and execution efficiency.
