Job summary

Technical Program Manager - Body & Closures is sought to join our client's engineering and manufacturing support team in Foster City, CA. You will collaborate with mechanical engineers and external vendors to ensure timely delivery of hardware builds and validated packaging.

The role requires coordinating cross-functional work between mechanical engineering, supply chain, manufacturing and validation, plus tracking issues in Jira/Confluence and performing CAD-related packaging analysis with

• 2–4 years of experience in project management or related engineering fields.
• Exposure to physical product development lifecycles in automotive/robotics sectors.
• Experience with CAD packaging analyses and cross-functional coordination.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules for mechanisms, sealing, and structural integration.
• Interface with external suppliers, track hardware build plans, and coordinate part deliveries.
• Maintain bug and issue trackers (Jira/Confluence), drive root-cause analyses, and resolve hardware issues.

What's the Job?

• Build, maintain, and communicate detailed project schedules for mechanisms, sealing, and structural integration to ensure timely delivery.
• Act as a programmatic interface with external suppliers, tracking hardware build plans and coordinating part deliveries to meet project milestones.
• Maintain bug and issue trackers (e.g., Jira), follow up on root cause analysis, and facilitate meetings to resolve hardware issues efficiently.
• Facilitate cross-functional communication between mechanical engineering, supply chain, manufacturing, and validation teams to support project alignment.
• Conduct packaging investigations or manage clash analysis utilizing tools such as CATIA, NX, or SolidWorks to optimize CAD and packaging design processes.

What's Needed?

• 2-4 years of experience in project management, technical program management, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering.
• Exposure to physical product development lifecycles, including design, sourcing, validation, and build, preferably in automotive, robotics, aerospace, or consumer electronics sectors.
• Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or MS Project for project tracking and collaboration.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Business, Project Management, or a related field.
