Role Overview:

The Technical Program Director will lead the Retail Store Analytics engagement and provide strategic direction for the analytics platform supporting Client retail operations. This individual will oversee the delivery of data engineering, analytics engineering, BI dashboarding, and infrastructure support. They will work closely with Client's internal team to ensure alignment with business objectives, manage vendor coordination, and drive innovation in retail analytics solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the overall CLIENTS engagement, ensuring successful delivery of all project milestones and objectives
• Provide strategic direction for data pipeline development, data quality, and BI dashboarding initiatives
• Oversee cross-functional coordination between data engineers, analytics engineers, BI engineers, and infrastructure teams
• Work directly with Client stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions
• Drive cost optimization through efficient resource allocation and managed service delivery models
• Establish and maintain service level agreements (SLAs) for data quality, infrastructure support, and dashboard availability
• Lead vendor coordination, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Champion innovation in retail analytics, incorporating new tools and methodologies to enhance data products
• Build and maintain a high-performing team with deep expertise in retail data and analytics
• Ensure compliance with Client's data governance, security, and privacy standards

Required Experience

• 12+ years of hands-on experience in data analytics and engineering
• 8+ years in leadership/management roles overseeing analytics teams
• 5+ years of experience in retail, e-commerce, or multi-channel business environments
• Demonstrated success with vendor management and managed service delivery models

Technical Skills

• Strong knowledge / understanding of BI tools: Tableau, ThoughtSpot, Plotly
• Experience with AWS infrastructure, Kubernetes, and cloud data platforms
• Understanding of data governance, data quality frameworks, and observability practices
• Familiarity with geospatial data engineering and analysis
• Knowledge of modern CI/CD practices and Git-based workflows

• Exceptional strategic thinking and business acumen
• Proven ability to influence and align stakeholders across multiple levels
• Strong communication skills, with ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical audiences

Education

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field

Pay:

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $135,000 - $170,000 with the potential for a higher base depending on experience, skills, and overall fit for the position. In addition, for the current performance period, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.

As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms. The Company provides for 11 paid holidays and 12 weeks of Parental Leave. We also follow a “free time” PTO policy, allowing you the flexibility to take the time needed for either sick time or vacation.
