Job summary

Vinik Sports Group seeks a part-time Technical Production Technician to set up, install, operate, test, and troubleshoot audio and video equipment for concerts, sports events, meetings, and conventions. Availability nights, weekends, and occasional holidays is required.

The role involves on-site work, coordinating with event teams, ensuring proper layout, testing equipment, maintaining inventory, and delivering World Class Service to end-users and guests.

Qualifications

  • Must be 18+ with a high school diploma or GED.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check.
  • 1–3 years of related AV experience.

Responsibilities

  • Set up and install equipment for events.
  • Operate basic sound equipment for events.
  • Coordinate with event team to establish cues and directions.
  • Ensure equipment is installed according to the designated layout.
  • Test and resolve basic equipment issues.
  • Mix sound inputs and monitor feeds for quality.
  • Clean audio and other equipment and ensure proper storage.
  • Ensure safe transfer and shipment of equipment.
  • Maintain inventory and report equipment repairs.
  • Provide all end-users and guests with World Class Service.
  • Perform additional tasks as needed for AV responsibilities.

Job Summary

The part-time Technical Production Technician is responsible forsetting up, installing,operating, testing, and troubleshooting audio and video equipment on location for events and functions including concerts, sports, events, watch parties,meetings, andconventions, presentations, and news conferences.This position requires part-time availability that may include nights, weekends, and occasional holidays.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Set up and install equipment including microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, pulling and connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions such as concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences
  • Set up andoperatebasic sound equipment for events
  • Confer with meeting/concert director or event team toestablishcues and directions
  • Ensure equipment is installed according to the designated layout
  • Test and resolve basic equipment issues
  • Mix sound inputs and feeds andmonitorsound feeds to ensure quality
  • Clean audio and other equipment and ensure its proper storage
  • Ensure the safe transfer and shipment of equipment
  • Ensure the safe storage and integrity of data
  • Maintain inventory of equipment and report equipment that require repairs
  • Provideall end-users andguestsa positive first impression by offering World Class Service
  • Anyadditionaltasksdeemednecessary for proper performance of AV department responsibilities
Qualifications

Working Condition
  • Must be able to stand onfeetforlong periodsof time, walk longdistancesand climb stairs.

  • Ability to work in areas that can become crowded with equipment and/or people
  • Ability to work comfortably around special effects including, but not limitedto:haze, strobe lights, lasers, etc.
  • Ability to work in loud environments
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs
  • Must be able to walk up to 0.5 miles to and from designated employee parking areas, including in varying earther conditions and during high-traffic event times
  • Must have the ability to work a flexible schedule including long hours, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must be able to work in cold/hotindoorand outdoor temperatures
